As it was close to Halloween, he was not surprised that her actual ‘theme’ was of the darker sort, which meant using real-life skulls per her request. It was not difficult to acquire them for she had even provided the name of a supplier of ‘unusual’ goods. Jordan made note of the distributor’s phone number – perhaps for his own use later.

He found himself in her main dining hall preparing the décor as per her wishes; her lusty scented perfume still dangled freshly in the room making it slightly difficult to concentrate. Jordan would not let himself be distracted from his task this time.

When he finished he left a note for her to call if she needed anything further and that he was off to hand-deliver her invitations.

As he went about to the different addresses, none of them were located in ‘respectable’ parts of town. He had even delivered one to a bartender and another to a bouncer at a strip club. He wondered how classy was this séance party supposed to be.

Once finished with deliveries, he knew only three days remained to ensure that everything met his client’s expectations. Jordan returned to Mrs. Sahween’s house, knowing that it meant certain temptation for him. He was determined to remain vigilant and respectful no matter what.

At the mansion he was greeted by her butler. “Thank God” he quietly thought to himself as he was handed more invitations. He left to go about his task with the new list of guests. He found these addresses were in more respectable locations than the others. Perhaps the first list of people was security personnel and maybe even entertainment.

Finally, the day of the event arrived and Jordan had already been to the mansion to ensure everything was still in its proper place. He had taken care of this early in the morning as to try and avoid any further contact with his hostess. Now he felt it was time for some well deserved rest on his couch while watching his new big-screen, high definition television with the love of his life.

Jordan’s phone rang; it was her. She sounded upset and sad; he asked what the problem was. Ms. Sahween explained that one of her guests did not show and that she was desperate for a replacement, she politely asked him to fill in.

His fiancée was infuriated with him when he agreed to do it as he had promised her some quality time alone. He knew that it was the right choice to make in order to secure his new job.

Once he arrived, she threw her arms around him and gave him an extended intimate hug. Her perfume was intoxicating and he did his best to remain professional. As she walked with him to the dining hall she asked him if he knew the true meaning of Halloween.

He considered it nothing more than a holiday where rowdy little hooligans got all the candy they could gather. Older hooligans went a step further by vandalizing property and stealing bags of candy from their smaller counterparts.

His escort let out a delightful chuckle and told him that Halloween was indeed much more; in fact it was originally a feast to honor and invite the dead. Tonight’s party would be both revelation and edification for everyone present.
