The feeling of rehabilitation started to slip away from me with each passing moment. Finally, I asked the therapist, “Well, what do you think, Doc?”

He stood up from his seat and slowly walked over to me, placed his hand on my shoulder and whispered into my ear, “I don’t know where you think you are young man or who you think I am, but I’m not a doctor.”

I bit my tongue when I heard him say those words. I dared to ask him, “If you’re not a doctor, then what kind of therapist are you?”

The man’s face dropped. “I’m Pastor O’Hairey and this is my bible study class.”
