Welcome to Summer. For us in Ontario anyway. It 's July and that means 4 weeks of sweltering heat and usually no rain. It has been a bit rainy in southern Ontario where I am, but we have definitely been hitting the over 40 mark in heat! That is over 100 for the American readers. I am happy to say that my brother-in-law fixed the pool and I have been enjoying this from there. A lot has been going on not just within our company, but in the world in general. Places are opening up, life is starting to look normal in a lot of places, including here, and there is talk of the borders opening up. At least there is Canadian talk. It has created a buzz of excitement for those of us who have been cooped up for so long. Summer is here. With the sun and the fun and all the wonderful things you can do and eat in the summer. Vacations have started, kids are in full enjoyment of no school and sleeping in, and the creative juices for some may have slowed down a bit with the feeling of those hazy lazy days of summer. Not so much with our contributors! This month is jam packed with everything from farms that should come with warning labels to unbelievable cruises. Each and every month our contributors, new and old, submit some of the greatest quality work that I have had the privilege to read. I have enjoyed every moment of my job. This past weekend I have the privilege of sitting on a panel at a virtual convention with Walter G Esselman and Chris Bice. A little town near where I live does a Sci-fi Street Faire every year to raise money to help support the food bank. This year it was moved to be a virtual event so authors, artists, and vendors from all over the world were able to attend. It was a great event, and our panel was so much fun. Walter and Chris gave great talks on their works and I, as usual ran over on my time. It was a unique experience and the first one I have been at representing Dark Myth Publications. That has created quite a buzz in the writing community, and I have had several messages passed to me inquiring about what we are and what we do. It is exciting to see our little publishing company begin to stretch her wings and fly. Speaking of publishing, I have been given a bit of a break for the month of August as we are re-releasing a book that month, so no editing required from me! I'm still hard at work on Liberty's Run which we are releasing in September. I want to say a hearty congratulations to Mr. Chris Bice. He is Member of the Month yet again! He just keeps turning out these amazing poems and drabbles that touch on the human condition. Well done sir. Well done. I also want to say well done to our cover artist this month, Eric Rivera. He is the artist behind Monster Surprise, the cover of this months issue.
