Opening of Meeting – David K Montoya reads Mission Statement.

Art Contest – Kevin didn’t have anything new to report, so David K Montoya pushed it through to getting it ready for step 1 and added Walter G Esselman to help get the layout done.


Fanfiction Contest – No update.


OCC Submission guidelines updated. All entries MUST be in English.


Update from JayZoModcast Network – Joe says all is going well.

  • Date for Grindhouse Sleeze (a David K Montoya and Alan Russo show) was set for May 12, 2021 to begin production.

  • My Public Life as an American Nerd (a David K Montoya show) is set to return in June 2021


Magazine – Stephanie is to do a bullet point presentation for the Board to vote on as to what she wants to see in the submission guidelines. It was decided that the whole of the guidelines needed to be updated and rewritten.




New Business


OCC – New guideline dealing with co-authors fleshed out and voted on. The prizes will be split between the two and in the case of a first-place winner, the flight to OCC will be offered to one and the other must be responsible for their own travel and accommodations. All were in favor in the vote.


Entries must be in English was voted on and passed.


Joe Sparks presented a new idea for The World of Mythbits Podcast, in the form of dramatic readings of selected stories from The World of Myth Magazine. Stephanie suggested also adding readings of the Member of the Month. Joe offered to contact a local voice acting group and flesh out the idea some more.


Myth Mart – Alan Russo was voted in as General Manager and brough his wife Veronica Russo in as Distribution Overseer. This is our top priority as of this moment. Alan and David made a plan to sit and discuss details.


David K Montoya put forth a request for an Administrator for PCE and the Board voted and passed the idea into acceptance.


Discussed changing the day of the week for the meetings and it was decided to remain on Sunday.


New Policy #041121 was written by David K Montoya, presented to the Board and voted on. All were in favor. (see attached policy)


David informed the Board that Dark Myth Comics is in talks with Enemi Entertainment about distribution. A PCE Scarefaire release was tabled until the May meeting.


Walter brought forth the need for a marketing strategy for the OCC.

We need to maximize our platforms.

It was suggested by David K Montoya that we bring in Jeff Young for discussions on how to accomplish that task.


Discussion was had about Amazon reviews for our released books through Dark Myth Publications, and how to get them.


New company-based plugs will be added to the existing Podcasts. Our first one will appear in Lupa’s Bits spotlighting our Open Contract Challenge. Discussion about having previous winners do spots was had. More plugs for existing podcasts and already released books will be made. Authors will be contacted and asked if they would like to do their own plug. Space is also available for outside sponsors.


New ideas were presented for PCE and Joe Sparks was made Ambassador between this Board and the PCE Committee, which simultaneously added him to the PCE Committee.
