Field of Dreams
By: Christopher Bice

Today I lie in my field of dreams
Where nothing is ever what it seems
I dream of strawberry cotton candy
Of how my life is just jimdandy
Looking up at marshmallow skies
Birds are feasting as they fly by
The warm sun is smiling down on me
I watch the flight of a bumblebee
I see the flax as a sea of blue
It brings back sweet memories of you
For a summer two hearts were one
We laughed, we cried, under the sun
As our love grew stronger every day
We vowed that here we would always stay
Build a home in our precious field
A place where our true love was sealed
But the time came for us to part ways
You moved on but here I'll always stay
Nothing is ever what it seems
You buried me in our field of dreams.
