Mystic
By: Jeff R. Young

I am a mythical dreamer
The moonlights my lullaby
I give myself up to the witch
Without a thought of a single goodbye
She comes to me from shadows
On a misty pale white steed
Her ice-blue eyes bore through my skin
And promise to fulfill my need
Her spell is so enthralling
Like gravity she pulls me in
And when I stand before her
Her weave of magic would begin
Her haunting eyes mirrored twilight
And she possessed near golden hair
I knew this was all just another dream
But by the gods I didn't care
Her eyes then fell upon me
My heart it skipped a beat
A sorceress so enchanting
Was soon out dancing in the street
Her feet barely touched the cobblestone
Her body moved like a snake
Her beauty was so enchanting
With the scent of jasmine in her wake
She danced to me and whispered
Her breath a tickle in my ear
She said that I made her smile
Then she bound off like a deer
As she disappeared into twilight
Behind the moonlights distant glow
She glanced behind and blew a kiss
Like a butterfly for the crow
I am the mystic dreamer
Her vision reigns supreme
I have so many reasons to sleep
But she is the only reason that I dream
