Hey there Mythkateers! Halloween has come and gone, and for some, it was quiet, for some it was just another day. But for all of us, it was a not so gentle reminder that things are still very very out of whack. The American Thanksgiving is coming up, and for both Canada and the U.S., that usually signals the start of the Christmas season. Shopping in the crowded stores, the sales, the lights, the decorations. It is all part of that season. The big tree lighting ceremonies, the parades. None of that will be happening. Not in person anyway. Each town, I have seen, are implementing their own brand of seasonal cheer. I would like to do the same here in the magazine. This month we have some stellar stories and poetry, and some great art, but like Halloween, I would like to see a strictly seasonal themed issue for our Christmas Eve launch. That means, wintery, Christmasy, Yuletide-sh, or just plain cold and snowy. Embrace this time of year and the emotions it is stirring up in all of us. Whether it be thanks for a chance to slow a bit, and enjoy family again, or anger that another holiday, another chance to be with loved ones, has been taken away from us. Whatever is moving you, whatever emotion is strongest this season, grab it by the you know what's and write a piece for our Seasonal issue. Ok, now that I am done beating that into you, lol, I hope you enjoy this month. It is a little smaller than usual, but it has no less quality. Each piece is a wonderful contribution from some of our amazing writers. We also welcome some new ones this month! Congratulations to Clark Zlotchew on winning Member of the Month! For those waiting on shirts, they are going in the mail this week! Since we are working with a small family owned business, things take a bit longer than with a large box store type business. Personally, I like to support those small business, as they tend to put more heart into their products and more quality. As I always do, I read over every piece in the magazine. Each story, each poem, each review. I have seen my name, coincidence or not, within the lines of stories, but never have I been called out in a review. I have been teased into watching a movie!! This is a first, so I am going to give it a go and see if the hype of the movie review lives up to the movie itself. We shall see. I feel I am coming across a little aggressive in this intro, and I don't mean to be, but I am feeling a sudden zest for life. A need to grab it by the horns and live it to it's fullest. It may be the death of my Grandmother, or the fact that I just spent the last while doing some hard physical labor, but I want to stand on a large rock and sing “I am Woman” by Helen Reddy at the top of my lungs. I won't. It will scare the wildlife. But that is how I am feeling. Find your zest for life. Find what drives you and hang on to it. I am going to touch on this more in my podcast this week, so be sure to tune it!
