Welcome to the September 2020 issue of The World of Myth Magazine! Despite having to continue to deal with this pandemic (especially here in California), we at The JayZoMon/Dark Myth Company have been plugging along with our goal that lead up into the first quarter of 2021! We are six days out (as of the 24th) from the deadline for ZombieWorks' first anthology under our direction titled, Full Moon and Howlin'. This publication is gearing up to be a big boy, possibly larger than Monsterthology 2! The first twelve stories have moved to the editor for review and we will be in contact once approved. But there is still time for you to submit your piece! Send your Werewolf story to zombieworkpublications@yahoo.com and remember the deadline is September 30, 2020. Speaking of September thirtieth, that is also the deadline for the finalists of the Open Contract Challenge (Jason C. Wint and Walter G. Esselman) to send in their manuscripts. After which will be sent to last year's Grand prize Winner, Dr. Melissa Ridley Elmes to decide who will walk away as the winner of our 2020 contest! Speaking of the Open Contact Challenge, the 2019 second place winner, Jeff R. Young will have his ebook Diary of a Madman released October 6, 2020. Over on the JayZoModcast Network, a lot of podcasters or podcast networks, will pay for a third-party to set up a distribution package. But I will be honest, I don't care much for the idea of a third-party handling our business affairs. So, I was able to broker an independent agreement that I offered to the audio giants, Spotify. So now you can enjoy The World of Myth Bits, My Public Life As An American Nerd, and Lupa's Bits on that platform either by phone, car or computer (however you consume Spotify). Speaking of handling your own business affairs, our very own Editor in Chief, Stephanie J. Bardy has decided to become an entrepreneur and created her own online company: Lu-Hoo Baskets! She is putting together inventory and offers a basket for every occasion! I ordered two Birthday Baskets for my girls who both have birthdays this month and they were both overly pleased with the contents they found inside! You can get your own basket at: www.luhoobaskets.com and yes, she ships internationally. We will wrap this installment of Commentary with a few thoughts on JayZoMon's Pop Culture Expo 2021. Slated for March 13, 2021, we are planning to pick up where we left off. We are taking it to Building #1 at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds in Victorville, California. This time around we are focusing on cartoons, animated movies, and video games like Dragon Ball Z, Street Fighter and Destiny 2. With that said, we are pleased to confirm the voice of Frylock from the Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Carey Means! Also, the voice of Bojack from Dragon Ball Z, as well as Shao Khan and Baraka from Mortal Kombat. Plus Balrog in Street Fighter, Sig Curtis of Fullmetal Alchemist, Odin in the game Smite, Bob Carter will be there too! Also, we are excited to announce that Dominic Pace who plays Gekko the Bounty Hunter from Star Wars: The Mandalorian has been confirmed to be there for autographs and pictures! And, since we are talking about PCE 2021, I have a question to any of you who plan to attend the expo. We like to gage people's interest from time to time and would like to know: Would you like to meet Dustin Diamond aka Screech from Saved By the Bell at PCE 2021? Things are in motion folks! Thank you sincerely all who have come in month after month to enjoy the absolute best possible literary magazine that we can assemble and say they were proud to be a part of The World of Myth! All right, gang, I'm finished for this month. Until next time! With respect to you all!
