Starlight

I sit meditating
Contemplating life
My life
All life
Wondering why I am here
In this place at this time

As my mind wanders
I become disconnected
From my body
My consciousness fluttering
I am a leaf
Plucked from the tree of life

Set adrift on the endless stream
Travelling the universe
Seeking answers
Pure energy
Lighting the heavens
One star in the night sky

Staring down at humanity
Just as humanity stares at me
Wishing upon a star
Begging for change
But in all this universe
I am just one twinkling light.
