The Falling Apple

The morning sun shone weekly through the windows of Cambridge University. When Locke entered the mathematics department, he gasped at the sight of Newton's broken nose.
"I had some apple brandy last night " Newton explained. "But listen: when I stumbled, I realized why people fall down rather than upwards or sideways!"
Newton's eyes shone with passion as he revealed his new theory.
"Universal gravitation?" Locke exclaimed. "That's amazing, Isaac! You must shout that from the rooftops!"
"I know! Butpeople might think I'm a drunkard "
Locke frowned in thought. "Did you say it was apple brandy? I have an idea!"
