Hello from the Sunshine State!! It 's the 11th hour on the eve of launch and I am writing my intro. Why am I writing it so late? Truth? I forgot. Yes, I forgot to do my intro. Now one might ask how, on a month when we have a smaller issue, you could forget to do the intro. Well, three letters and a manuscript. PCE. I have been doing all I can to keep Dave sane as he pulls the final pieces together for PCE (technically I can't really use that as an excuse as I am only text support at the moment) but I have also been feverishly writing to get a job done. I am a ghost writer and I want to finish this current project up shortly so that I can get it to the publisher. (Not Dave, he is nicer about timelines). Now, while I am doing all this, I am being blissfully distracted by the sunshine of Florida. Thankfully, (did I just say thankfully) the weather this week has been chilly. I don't dare say cold because back home, where my family still is, is buried under about 3 feet of snow, so I say chilly. Which has kept me inside writing. I am going to have this current project wrapped up and sent to the publisher for first edits within the next few days. So, I have reasons why I forgot. Maybe not good ones, but reasons. Which is why it is less than 45 minutes to launch and I am writing it now, while Dave, the ever patient one waits for it. PCE. I booked my flight today from Florida to California, and the reality of it all sunk in. This is actually happening. I am actually really and truly going. I am so excited I could burst! Really I could! It could be the two bottles of water I drank earlier, but I think it is the excitement. We will go with the excitement. I am flying in a week early, so I can get the lay of the land and help Dave do any of the last minute stuff that needs to be done, done. I am more than sure, in the last week, there will be lots to do. I've done expo's and conventions before. The week before is crazy. It makes all the months of planning look like a cake walk sorry Dave. Congratulations to last months Member of the Month winner Melissa Small and her story about Snow Fairies. I would also like to take a moment and wish our long time resident movie review Jason Bechard all the best of luck, he is moving on to other projects and while he will be greatly missed, we here at the magazine wish him all the best. We will be actively looking for a new reviewer, and although Jason left some pretty big shoes to fill, if you think you want to take a crack at it, let me know! Well I think I had better sign off and get this to the boss before he fires me! Have a great one and I hope to see you all at PCE!! Until next month
