Traveling on the Polar Ice
By: Holly Day

Even without houses, ghosts live here.
They yawn and howl beneath the ice
Cause great cracks and fissures
To shake open in the snow. There are mouths

In the tundra, great, gaping chasms that end
In complete blackness.
This is how the world screams.
This is how winter ends.
