Welcome to our Halloween edition of The World of Myth Magazine! While we are still recovering from last month's massive anniversary issue, all of us here were able to pull ourselves back together and keep on trucking. There are a few thing that happened last month that we announced but really did not talk about, and the first is that we are still offering a printed version of the magazine for our anniversary issue #76! My biggest hang up was that I honestly did not want to present to you a magazine that was going to cost $20 USD (and that's with out mark up). The problem that I came across was that because we have pictures and artwork with color, we had to have paid for the entire thing to be in full color, which would not have been that big of an issue, but the printer that we use for all of our press only does magazines up to 64 pages as were this bad boy was over 100 pages! So, I am still actively looking for a printer. If we do not find one by the end of next month, I will present it in a Collector's Edition and offer it to the contributors for my cost. If you would like for me to place it on the open market for sale you are always welcomed to drop me a line and let me know! Another thing that was announced last month was our winners of the Open Contract Challenge! A big congratulations go out to the winners! Third Place was Walter G. Esselman with his fantastic story SuperhorrorMax, who won a $50USD Visa Gift card and a Future option for publication in 2020/2021 line up! Second Place was Jeff R. Young and his powerful tale The Diary Of A Madman, which won him a $100USD Visa Gift card and a contract to have his story produced as an eBook and sold where all electronic mediums are found! And our GRANDPRIZE WINNER was Melissa Ridley Elmes and her book of poetry, Arthurian Things A Collection of Poems which won her a $200USD Visa Gift card, a dual contract with us to publish her book in not only eBook form, but in paperback as well and a trip to California for JayZoMon's Pop Culture Expo on February 8, 2020 and will have a table and merchandise to sell and sign! So CONGRATULATIONS to all our winners! Also, if you have listened to The World of Myth Bits Podcast, episode #51 our Editor in Chief, Stephanie Bardy, mentioned that I will be hiring Executive Directors to run each branch of The JayZoMon/Dark Myth Company, this will be announced with more details, but I wanted to take a moment to explain as to why I am doing this. First, this is meant to be a temporary thing. Come November, I will be taking more of an active role with PCE (JayZoMon's Pop Culture Expo) in organizing and finding vendors for the event. While I am working on making this the best expo possible, I will need to work harder and in doing so I will need the help from others until I am satisfied with the end result. I have reached out to a few people, but as of this writing no one has been signed to the executive director roles. So keep your eyes pealed for more information as they develop! I also, want to give a quick shout out to a few of our contributors who where published in Monsterthhology 2 anthology which hit top 100 books on the day of it's release! While I am happy to say that I am included in this is amazing group of writers, and to be in the top of any list is fantastic! So congratulations to Stephanie Bardy, Dawn De Braal, Steve Carr, Walter G. Esselman, Tom Fowler in your publication as well! Okay gang, that is it for me this month. I got to get back to work on a wrestling show that we will be hosting at PCE. So thank you for your continued loyalty and being a part of The World of Myth Family! All of you have a wonderful and safe Halloween/ Dia de los Muertos/Samhain and we will see you next time four days before Thanksgiving! Until next time! With respect to you all!
