Forever
By: Jeff R. Young

From silvery light a white mist swirls
Allowing no shadow or reflection
A goddess forms in moonbeams bathed
Her voice like wind through trees beckon
The eastern sky hints of dawning
Her smile's devoid of sound
Exquisite eyes turn unto me
To pummel my woes into the ground
Her loving hand touches desperate flesh
Wearied senses are set aflame
Heat engulfs both heart and soul
As tender lips whisper my name
From behind explodes the edge of dawn
To silhouette this heavenly vision
The universe gathered into a single form
To which many a poem be written
With eternal love her words express
The promise of forever
But forever long enough
When it is to her I do surrender
