Colorblind
By: Jeff R. Young

Blinded from most colors
I see crimson, black and blue
A rainbow in distortion
It's like nothing that I knew

Dark to light then dark again
The season's nothing new
Young to old, not young again
What's left for me to do?

Chaos gathers all around
Collecting me in time
I call upon the universe
While writing truth in rhyme

If I was a rolling storm
I'd roll until I'm through
And if I was a garden
Could I bloom in black for you?

I'm locking open doors again
Brilliant colors I deny
Black and white now fades to gray
I'm stuck with do or die

Light to dark now light again
What's left for me to find?
The memories now fade away
I'm truly color blind
