Silence of Truth
By: Sultana Raza

Savor each step
O Wanderer,
As you walk the path towards the truth.

For it sparkles
With silence;
The hush of eternal truth
The unseen, unheard waves
Of that refined, rarefied air
That can only be felt,
Experienced, shivered,
As on gets nearer to the core
Of eternal light.

You will walk this path just the once,
Though it may seem to be long now,
Yet as you near the end,
Ready to merge,
to become one with the truth of all that is,
Will you want that journey to never end.

Such is one of the many dichotomies
Of this special journey
That you've undertaken
So boldly, so blindly, so bravely,
Yet could it have been any other way?

Would you have it any other way,
Than the one way you can go,
No matter which way you approach it?
In the end, do not all paths merge in the centre?

And you'll all say, well met,
If you still see yourselves as separate entities, that is.

So enjoy, and live fully
Every minute of this journey
That some call life,
Others call being,
While others yet call it nothing,
For they are too busy doing,
Running around like chicken in a coop,
Getting ahead, while they still can.

Getting ahead of what,
You could ask, O Wanderer.
Getting ahead of themselves,
Their so-called mortality.

Yet the soul knows no such strange condition,
For it continues the journey,
Even if the body gets tired,
And no longer serves the soul's purpose
After a little while.

A little while
In the big spiral
Of the soul's ascension.

So savor the silences on your path,
Lonely though it may seem at times.

How can it be lonely,
When you are to merge with the greater silence,
The greater hush
That is yet to come,
The closer you get to the core.

The core of truth,
The center of equality,
The mid-point of justice,
Where one can float eternally, if one so wishes,
Or start the journey anew,
Savoring each moment, as if it were the last,
Knowing that it isn't so.
It just seems to be so.
