Mallory peered into the doghouse and froze like a block of ice. Instead of her golden retriever, what she saw was a gray, furry creature the size and shape of a squirrel, but with a human head and ten tiny little fingers. Blood was dripping down it's chin and it had a knife and fork in its miniature hands.
She stared at the creature unmovingly as it licked the last bit of blood off the fork. As the gravity of the situation sunk in, Mallory's breathing became ragged and her heart pounded in her chest. She looked at the creature and began screaming maniacally, "Where's Goldie? What did you do with my dog?"
The creature looked at her with a satisfied smile, rubbed its little stomach and belched out a golden fur ball. When it beckoned for Mallory to join it inside, she spun around and sped off like a cheetah.
