Myth Master Leaves the Dungeon

By: Tim Law
Pets… Am I right? They need feeding and watering, and usually (the big ones especially) need the occasional walk. This made me think, what if our resident dungeon dweller, The Myth Master, owned a dog. What sort of dog would it be? It would need to be a big dog, a monstrosity, surely. Robotic? Of course… Dah!! So, this is my poem about what it would be like if Myth Master had a big robotic dog, and what happens every time he takes it for a walk. It should be read in similar fashion to the children’s picture book, I Went Walking, by Sue Williams.

Myth Master: "I went walking."
Everyone: "What did you see?"
Myth Master: "Piles of rubble and destruction trailing after me."

Myth Master: "I went walking."
Everyone: "What did you see?"
Myth Master: "Grey skies, and storm clouds, filling me with glee."

Myth Master: "I went walking."
Everyone: "What did you see?"
Myth Master: "So many screaming children, attempting to hide and flee."

Myth Master: "I went walking."
Everyone: "What did you see?"
Myth Master: "My dog Crusher about to do a wee."

Myth Master: "I went walking."
Everyone: "What did you see?"
Myth Master: "All of the things that make me chuckle and cackle so happily."

Myth Master: "I went walking."
Everyone: "What did you see?"
Myth Master: "A world in chaos and despair, the way it should always be."
