Lovely

After work, Lara headed home, driving by her house accidentally. She realized what she'd done, though, and turned around. But she frowned upon seeing the place. It looked different.
Red, heart-shaped lights hung from her porch and along the edge of her roof. Had a neighbor put them up for Valentine's day?
Studying their sparkling brilliance, she smiled. They were lovely.
But they went out as soon as she stepped inside. Wings popped out, legs, antennae, and soon dozens of murder hornets hovered in the air.
The clustered together tightly before scattering, some heading for the neighborhood houses, some further.
