Sam and Peter loved surprising their sister Vicky with an onslaught of snowballs on Christmas Day. They no longer believed in the wonder of wishes and had outgrown the pleasures of building a snowman.
"Ready, Sam?" Peter said with a grin.
"You bet," said Sam as both brothers peered over the snowdrift, their sister five yards away.
Vicky was just adding the coal eyes, mouth, and carrot nose to her third snowman.
"Gotcha again, Vicki!" both boys shouted with glee.
That was when they noticed the coal eyes glowing red.
The boys had forgotten Christmas' magic, but Vicki still believed.
