The flytrap of love
cemetery of pain
where lingering desire
is doused in champagne
From red hot flames
to cooling embers
passion turned ashes
a heartache remembers
Romance interred
thru unfettered veins
a soul swallowed whole
desperate to maintain
Yet drowning in truth
unable to quell
a connection severed
bid a grievous farewell
