Interview with Jenna Sparks
By: Kevin 'Myth Master' Adams

Hello to all my bloodthirsty minions out there!!
I'M BACK!
Let's waste no time for it has been far to long since the screams of my victims have filled the lair. So sit back and enjoy some details about our newest...patient.
Jenna Sparks was born and raised in the dregs of Southern California. From playing on school computers into her tweens, Jenna discovered the joys of digital design. Before she was a teenager, she had dabbled in various formats of art, and soon began writing.
Thanks to an English teacher at her middle school, Jenna's curiosity for literature expanded until she began publishing work on various forums and writing avenues. She then went on to celebrate the local music scene, wherein she began photographing as well as interviewing local and touring bands by seventeen. Jenna then established traditional paths were not where her passions lay; as adulthood approached, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and all aspirations had been put on pause. Once she was in remission, it was back to the drawing board; newly adapted to post-cancer life with ideas, she set course to start a journey into the field of film and special effects make-up.
With no opportunities in the High Desert, Jenna attended beauty school as the first step, where she discovered an affinity for drawing and portraiture. Soon her world was enveloped in art and her goals and ideas shifted dramatically. She began showing in galleries and further expanding the arts and managing a local arts store. Today she has found appropriate rhythm and passion in pursuing her career as an artist, both traditional and graphic/digital.
From illustrating The World of Myth's own David K. Montoya's book, The Missing Unicorn in the Land of Zombie Fairies, to designing a small handful of Dark Myth Publications book covers as well as opportunities within the community's local and Los Angeles art scene. She is constantly striving to engage in the arts, in particular within the world of pop art. Still living in the same dregs of Southern California, Jenna continues her work with vast support from her partner, Joe where she enjoys all things spooky, macabre, and evil.
