Snow White

Snow White sometime after the apple
and the evil queen,
not to mention
the cannot tell a lie mirror,
even after the seven dwarfs
who had finely
struck it rich, uncovering a huge vein of gold
and moved to the Emerald City
leaving her the small cottage in the deep woods .
And of course
there is the handsome prince.
Who's father disowned him for marrying a commoner,
leaving him penny less.
But hay he still has his good looks.
This is the story that no one tells you
of her three self-centered
always in trouble children,
of a potbellied, slightly balding
and mostly drunk husband
who lives in the past of what could have been
if only he hadn't
and of the apple
that Snow White has kept hidden
for all those years.
It was still red with escape, as she bit into it.
