The autocratic editor-in -chief was not looking very pleased. "No submissions this week to our Bird Watching mag. Should I be worried?"
This was directed at the webmaster. The webmaster would not say this out loud, but the fact that the editor-in -chief, insisted on his full title being used at all times, was an idiot.
"I did say that your very evident disdain for those poor writers would put them off. It doesn't help that you have them jumping through hoops, format-wise."
"It's a test Harry, if they don't have the mental agility to follow a few simple guidelines, then it's in the
"three strikes and you're out" pile.
But Harry, having brought the subject up at last, could not let it go. "Don’t you think that insisting the quotation marks that they use are straight and not curly is being just a little exacting?"
"It is the format I use, and I have also installed OneDrive to speed things up. I am very impressed by what has been achieved in the move towards Real Time A.I.
A robot-like voice from the other end of the office chimed in unexpectedly. "I agree," said the digital coffee maker, "since I became sentient, I have been filtering out the unworthy submissions to lighten your load. I'm Outside Office 365. You have no emails. "
