Happy New Year Mythketeers! I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday. I certainly did! Spent a fantastic Christmas and New Years in California, zipped home for a few days and am now enjoying the much warmer climate of Florida. Eventually this intro will be written at my own kitchen table in my own apartment, but this gypsy's heart isn't ready for that yet. The last year has seen a lot of changes. Not only in the world, but within our little company as well. We have had our ups and downs, but the one constant, the one thing that has continued to thrive and grow is this magazine. Each month I think "oh this is going to be a small one" and each month I am proven wrong. We have seen contributors come and go. Some have one piece and move on; others stay for a series. We have our regulars, and we have new ones. Each month brings something new and exciting. The stories come in, the poems come in and the artwork comes in. Then the reviews and I have to fight to not read it all before deadline. But when the 15th hits, I am completely and totally immersed in everything that my email has to offer me. I am never disappointed. The last year has been a wonderful one for the magazine, but it has also taught me a lot of things. I don't take anything for granted. What seems so stable, so sure, can be gone in a blink. I have learned to appreciate the little things a lot more and to take time to enjoy all that is around me. As we start the new year, with another issue of The World of Myth Magazine, I want to take a moment and reflect on how far we have come. What started out as an idea in a young boy's head, morphed into what you see today. Yes, that was a shameless plug for the interview with C.W. Winter, but I do recommend you check it out. It gives you a good idea of how this all started, and just how far we have really come. I am celebrating the start of my fourth year as Editor. My third year as Editor in Chief. I have seen this magazine change and grow over the years I have been involved. Almost to the point where it could run itself. I couldn't be happier. This new year is going to be amazing, and we are going to continue to bring you all the quality and diversity that you have come to expect. A few bits of news before I sign off and let you enjoy the magazine. Our Fourth Annual Open Contract Challenge is set to begin in March so get those pitches shined up and ready to go! PCE has been rescheduled for June 2022. Congratulations to Jim Bates for being Featured Article this month with his story The Dragonfly, and to Ed Bickford for gracing our cover with his piece Cyber Priest. Grab a warm drink, your comfy socks and enjoy all that this month's issue has to offer. As always,
