The Unimportant
By: Kevin Magnus

When I thought I died, my eyes opened.
And see past all your entangled lies.

Pain flows and the silence grows,
Tears fell, only the Lord knows.

I wanted to be finished, finally buried.
My soul taken to the river, dead and ferried.

Allowed to be no more than a passing thought.
Finally dead; Placed in the ground, deep to rot.

I can be rewarded in my failure to fade away.
Lost in a forgotten time, forever to sleep and stay.

But, like everyone before, was unable to finished the job,
Only in slumber, I remain, my freedom into darkness rob.

You left life inside my mortal shell and now I must rise and fight again.
To face all the wicked and evil hidden within men.

I will continue forward, not that I want to, because I have to.
I will fight for those who need me, because that is simply what I do.
