Department Reports

Myth Mart – Second month of sales not as strong as first. Made $32.00 Would like to do an email campaign, or buy one get one free. Jim Bates is the top grossing book. Dave didn’t have accurate numbers for the sale of his book yet as he was still actively selling his books.

Buy an new book, get an old book free. Kris suggests Humble Bundle. Dave suggests download from Kindle for free if you buy a book. Steph suggests doing some video and audio campaigns. Alan discusses emailing our followers catalogues. Putting a link up on the magazine. Subscribe for a free catalogue.

Advertising – Promote the Store, the Publications and the rest of our brands. Need to push the banners and audio and get Scarefaire promotions. Discussed how the links on Instagram needs to be more prominent, that Instagram is just pictures, not linkable. Dave wants us to look into how to get them to click a link. Make it as easy as possible. Eddie suggests that people are getting confused between Jayzomon, and Scarefaire. Eddie wants stats.

Circulation Department – Ties in with advertising. Getting our brand out there.

Social Media – Wants to hand over The World of Mythbits pages to Joe and Jenna.

Jeff Young has been terminated. His position as social media assistant is now available, Kevin and Alan requested a list of what the job entailed.

Magazine – Doing well, numbers are good, art is getting big. Still generating passive income, and we are international. We got a book inquiry from the magazine. Have an idea for the 100the issue. Want to put links to the last 100 members of the month.

Dark Myth Publications

  1. Editor in Chief Report – Not editing anything, taking a month off from that, but does have two books for review for our 2022 line up. We need book submission guidelines for our books.


  1. Publisher Report – doing a pocketbook for S. Sadie Burbank’s book due to come out. Dave is trying to find time to format it for sale. Walter’s next book is due September 7th. Dave discuss’ how the payment f royalties went with Walter. Walter was pleased. Dave’s biggest concern is the amount of the payment.

Dark Myth Comics – Comixthology everything is ready to go. If we are going to be selling books at a lower price point then put a paypal button on the page. He doesn’t want our work to be exclusive to a particular type of person but be more open. He wants quality work from people, that we won’t just accept everything. Dave does like the submission process idea. He has also reached out to people, his 8 pager is done for the Luchador Wrestling. Dave would also like to officially call these the Chronicles of the Unknown. Dave said he is bringing on a script editor. S. M. Morton. To give us a little extra polish. Kris turns down the offer of an assistant.

PCE/Scarefaire – Vendors – 7865.25 income, some vendors we bartered their services for their entertainment, Trix we are paying to perform and giving her a vending table. 9 vendors still paying, Eddie came up with a plan that if they paid upfront they got a 5%discount. If you bookrd both events, you got a discount on both events. Eddie hand picked the vendors to do that. Still owing 1624.00 to come in from vendors.

Some of that Vending income is for PCE as well. Dave suggests going through the contracts. We can’t count the PCE money. Dave says he has all the vendor contracts.

Eddie doesn’t like Paypal.

We owe for the entertainers 3230.00 that includes the hotel as well. That amount also includes their per diem. Excluding Briggs and Phelan. Phelan is 800 and Briggs is 5000 that we have to pay if they don’t get that in autographs.

Comic artists are doing exclusive covers for their own work using our logo.

Rentals – It was cheaper to go with Bear Valley Rentals for table and chairs tent and photo area $8012.00. Eddie says he is going to cut corners.

Fairgrounds – 6862.00 plus insurance of 165.00

American Zombie – 2500.00

Production – 4337.00

Eddie delivered tickets to Tattoo image. Dave took tickets to Comic Cult and other places. Eddie says he sold tickets to a girl in person.

Wants to sell tickets at a bar across the street. He says he is going to make a deal with Roadwork if they play at our event, they can tear down at be at the bar in time to play there if they agree to sell our tickets.

Says he is giving our vendors at other events our flyers to put in their bags when they make a sale.

He is trying to get more entertainers. He says most of the entertainers are only getting a hotel room.

He says he has security worked out.

JayZoModcast – Joe says we are doing swimmingly, we are moving along with new advertising. Penance was a big hit. Chris Bice is up next. Eddie has issues with cancelations, Steph suggests he does an off the cuff show to keep the flow going and Eddie declines that idea. Eddie says he is exhausted.

OCC – Walter is waiting for the last few synopses, he sent everyone a guide on how to write one and they all said it helped. Walter is enjoying the job, says it’s weird being the final judge, but he is enjoying the job.

JPWI – The biggest issue is the fairgrounds they say there is wrestling there, but Dave doesn’t see anything. He did make a very strong contact with the CEO of the Fairgrounds, his main goal is to build a relationship with her, so that he can cut out the middleman. Once we get past that hurdle then we are set to go.



Old Business

OCCAE – set up a date October 31, but we haven’t really moved forward, we need to let OCC finish then we can get on to the art edition.

Calendar update – We have made some headway into it, all the pics are in the dropbox, we are reviewing it and have it ready by the due date. Due by October 16 to Dave to have it ready for November 16.

Elmvale Street Faire – Went well, our reading were one of the top visited, our vending spot was the top visited. We have been invited back for next years virtual section of the faire.

Dave is happy with the link Kris sent to him for printing for the catalogue.

Touches on the updates for the August release for the book.

4 page comic – Xydus backstory, Dave admits he squirreled and he is focused and back on it.



New Business

Dave gives each department the job of writing up a welcome essay to newcomers for their department. He would like to put together a welcome to the company packet.

Dave sent out map of company.

Dave ask\s for boards approval to have a new packet put together. A whole page per department.

Board votes and we move forward with it.

Dave wants to make The World of Myth an imprint of Dark Myth Publications. It’s voted on and passed.

Terry D Scheerer took one of the Sorority Slaughter and made a plot sheet, Alan Russo added dialogue, and an artist came in and started drawing it, but it never went anywhere and Dave would like to revive it in 2022.

Dave would like a Template for the meeting. He would like to focus more on the facts of each department to make it easier to transcribe for the minutes and keep the meeting streamlined and discuss it and move on. He would like the Board to come up with a template for their own departments.

Eddie mentions that Angel who is in charge of the build of the carnival, one of his sons passed away, and Eddie isn’t sure at what point Angel will be able to come back, for a video shoot. The video shoot is on hold.

Steph suggests we send flowers from the Board extending our condolences.

Eddie will take care of that.

Eddie suggests shirts at $2400.00 for shirts. But realizes it is not in our budget.

The shirts are tabled until Dave investigates it.
