Will he grow up to be just like me,

To become an honorable man and will I live to see?

Will he grow up to love his family dearly,

And to learn to give his all, sincerely?

Will he grow up to be a hard working man,

Despite being tired, will he stick to the plan?

Will he grow up to never be too busy for his own son,

To stop what he's doing, just to have a little fun?

Will he grow up to make his mark in this world of our's,

And to somehow find a mate as sweet as flowers?

Will he grow up to be all of these things--if yes, you see,

Then he won't grow up to be just like ME.
